It also reflects America's favorite pastime, baseball, and the idea that baseball brings Americans together. Using baseballs and bats in place of stars and stripes shows the unity that baseball brings to our country. Guitar Mania, a public art project in Cleveland, featured 10 foot high decorated fiberglass replicas of Fender Stratocaster guitars, designed and painted by celebrities and artists. The project was a collaboration between the United Way and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. After the exhibition, the guitars were auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting these charities."
