Alternate ending When you have beaten the game the credits will start and run for several minutes. When the credits are finished you will be told who has truly won the Hogwarts house cup. If you have collected all 17 famous witch's and wizards cards the game will give you a different ending. Lightning strike At the main menu, press triangle to cause a lightning strike. Climbing bookshelves If you approach a bookshelf and find that you cannot climb it, press square on a piece of wall that is different or lighter colour. The Giant chessboard When you come to the giant chessboard near the end where you have to get the pieces to kill each other to win. Do this: First board(the one with green fire) - start on the right square, go up, diagonal up-left, diagonal down-right, diagonal down-left. Second board(one with blue fire) - start on left square, go up, diagonal down-right, left. Third board(one with red fire) - start on left, go left, diagonal up-left, diagonal up-left, right, diagonal down-right. Behind bookshelves Behind one bookshelf, you have to shoot pumpkins, cauldrons and chocolate frogs with your flipendo. You will have to shoot them back for a slytherin, this is located in the slytherin door across from your door in the entrance hall. Getting the feather To get the feather at Eylops owl emporium, pick up the treats and throw them at the owl in the centre. Time your throw carefully, because if you don't the other owls will eat the feed. Fighting Malfoy When you are fighting Malfoy in the entrance hall, stand far away and let him throw crackers at you. Dodge them so that they fall on the ground. Pick them up and throw them at Malfoy quickly. Gingotts tip If you are on the 3rd level of collecting scrolls at gringotts and you are having problems, make sure to get the first scroll first. If you do not none of the other scrolls will appear. Secret balcony When you enter the room where Nearly headless nick tells you how to move an extra large flipendo block. Leave it where it is and climb the stairs and run onto the block. From there go to the balcony across from you were, you will find a web there. Hit with a flipendo and you will get 5 house points for Gryffindor and a chocolate frog. Secret Passages There are secret passages out in the hogwarts grounds. the way into them looks like a discoloured section of wall. Flying Lesson After you have completed flying lesson and attend a different class, go back to flying lesson. Go in and see what looks like glowing butterflies. Catch all of them and see Madam Hooch will award Gryffindor 20 or 25 house points. Diagon alley When you are in Diagon alley and you are getting your money, when one of those signs that tells you to go right (for example) Press left instead and lock your cart, once you have pressed the opposite button, look below! Chocolate Frog card, Merlin When you go to the fat lady for the first time and you see Fred and George you'll see a bookcase if you go up to it and press the square button you'll go into a secret room and you can get the chocolate frog card 'Merlin'. Submitted by Iona Pullar Fire Seeds When you are going to get the fire seeds for Hagrid you have to go through the gargoyle gate. Before you go through the entrance you'll see 2 parts of the bottom half of the wall are a darker grey. Go up to one of them press the square button.
