Baby Naming Tips

• Remember your baby's surname before calling your baby "William Williams"!
• Consider the initials the names will spell out and avoid unpleasant ones.  Eg. Paul Oswald Owen when initialized spells Poo.
• Consider the possible nicknames that could arise from your baby's name.  Do you like the nicknames?
• If you choose a unique name, your child may have to spell her/his name to people for life. Do you want this?
• Say it out loud, Whisper it softly and then loudly. Does it sound ok?
• Names with a meaning are a nice idea, or name after a relative.
• Consider how the name will fit with your surname. Do not use a name with the same ending sound as the beginning sound of your surname.
• It is trendy today to join 2 names together.
